St. Anne's Orphanage Home
WE WISH YOU A HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. [Luke2; 11..Thank God for having this wonderful vision and opening up a ministry which supports orphans.our Primary Goal is to RESTORE HOPE TO THE LESS PRIVILEDGED IN AFRICA.
This is a voluntary, non profit, charitable organisation based in Africa with our head quarters in Nigeria.
Our ministry helps orphans and destitute children in Africa by supporting them through paying for their formal education , welfare, medical care and other care they may need. we have an alarming number of orphans as a result of HIV/AIDS scourge in the Sub-Saharan Africa which has been the worst hit so far in the whole world .
You find that most of these children's parents died and their family members made life miserable for them, thus, we provide support and give them the basics of their lively hood.
When you look at them you find that life is meaningless to them and this is what touched us so much that we had to come in with a "ray of hope.
We are mostly Nigerians, Senegalese and Togolese nationals, professionals in Child care Education/Health Care Services and Vocational Training Services.
We have found that to help these orphans, we set up a school, Home and Clinics where we can give them all they need; love, care, shelter food and education. While we do this, we take the opportunity to pray with them and introduce them to the One who can help them heal their broken heart! This is the Only One who can truly heal the heart: Jesus Christ.
In the process we have actually built a comprehensive Children's Village with:
A Primary School
A Vocational Secondary School
A Health Center
A Community Developement Programme
The choice of education
When we started this Mission, we had one goal;
To help the desperate, rejected, abused and neglected orphans in Africa.
On the way, soon we found out that the basic of needs can comfortably be brought together under one umbrella:
A Primary boarding school.
This is what we set out to do.
Over the years however, we have developed our vision.
We believe we need to prepare these children for the present day society of Africa.
They must be able to fit in and financially sustain themselves and their future families.
The way forward would thus be vocational training after primary school.
This is however very negative in the perspective of the African Children.
When one is not given a chance to do a full secondary education, one is considered to be a drop-out and thus a failure in life. Thus, remove the mindset of surviving by all means which has grossly given a bad name tag to Africans.
So we had to find a solution for this problem. We realised that if these children are given a direction and a zest for to see life positively, Africans and the World at large will be at rest.
We have put up a program where we combine the normal secondary education with a craft program. This program is now functioning in Nigeria and Senegal as a Vocational Secondary School (VSS).

LET'S JOIN OUR HANDS TOGETHER AND COMBAT HIV/AIDS, ILLETRACY, POVERTY AND CHILD LABOUR IN AFRICA, SUPPORTING THE LIFE OF A CHILD IS LIKE SUPPORTING A NATION" WHY NOT SHOW CONCERN TO THE NEEDY AND THE HELPLESS.
YOU ARE WHOM YOU ARE TODAY BECAUSE GOD HAS RESERVED YOU FOR A PURPOSE. THIS PURPOSE IS TO BE A BLESSING TO OTHERS.
To provide a safe environment for the children to grow and thrive in.
To raise money for housing, staff, schools, medical attention, church, food and clothing.
To promote Literacy in the whole of Africa as at large.
To sensitize the Youths about HIVS/AIDS and other killer diseases.
To promote computer literacy in all regions of Africa.
To improve on the health of the children
To promote adult Education and contribute in the community development projects.
The first area that we are looking at is the south west and north west of Asia which seems to be a little forgotten when it comes to aid.
We propose to set up children's villages somehow like we have here, but with the difference that we focus on Primary Education there.
For secondary / Vocational training we can then allow these students to pursue their goals in Vocational Education.
This will help the children as they stay in their "home district" where their tribal language is spoken and where they are near their relatives (grandmother/fathers etc), It will also be cheaper to run these schools as life in the villages is generally cheaper.
